Friendly Farm Alpacas sits at the north end of Chico, California, on Rock Creek. We are freeway close and easy to find. 2002 was our first year raising these wonderful animals; we started our herd with some of the finest suri and huacaya alpacas of excellent bloodlines. Fine fleece, conformation and beautiful colors…

  • Our first suri girl, Marikesh of PVA, is daughter of two-time winner of the All-American Futurity Herdsire of the Year, The Mahogany Prince of PVA. Mahogany Prince was sold to Randy Welman of American Style Farms for a record-breaking $325,000.00. When we purchased Marikesh she had been bred to Cantano of Peru, who had gained fame and was sold for $265,000.00 in January of 2002. Together they produced Blue Ribbon Winner Jumpin’ Jack Flash! "Jackie" unfortunately was lost to us in 2006 but was able to breed to Wind Through The Willow and in December 2006 Jacqueline Buttonwillow was born.  Wind died of cancer in summer 2007 and I am so glad to have her lovely female cria to carry on here for her parents. Marikesh has won several blue ribbons for her lovely fleece and in spin-off’s, as well as Produce of Dam. She has produced very well and remains an important member of our Foundation Herd. Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Donna Dulcinea, Princess Jillian and Don Julio, Ilona by LCA Zambesi and her most recent born on New Year's Eve "Party Girl" by Blazen Saddles…all gorgeous.

  • monet alpacaOur first huacaya girl, Monet, is a stunning girl and very special. Monet has given us several lovely award-winning cria... Most recently is Claude Oscar Monet, who will begin his show career at IAO 2008 in Del Mar. Monet’s AWARDS: First Place, Light Juvenile Female (class of 14) and Reserve Champion, Juvenile Females at 2001 International Alpaca Odyssey; First Place, Light Color Juvenile Females at 2001 Alpacapalooza; First Place, Light Juvenile Females at 2001 AOBA National Show, Portland, Oregon.

  • Teala, a PPeruvian Victor daughter, was bred to Royal Peruvian Valor. We were very happy when she gave us a beautiful little girl cria on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, 2002. That was Miss Mayflower who has been consistently winning in the show ring!! Mayflower's last show was AlpacaMania 2004 where she took Reserve Color Champion! Taking after her mother, Mayflower has produced two lovely female crias for us so far.

Teala had produced four female crias the color of the service sire until May 2006 when her first boy arrived… but still the color of the sire, Silver Grey Merlin. Teala was bred to Achenar of Crescent Moon Ranch and  produced a black female cria. Her 2005 True Black cria Elvyra delivered a True Black female cria by Derwydd's Inti-Sapa in December 2007.
